Located a mere 1 ½ hours from Albuquerque and

2 hours from
Santa Fe, the  Village of Corona is a small rural cattle/sheep ranching community. The film industry will love Corona — there is no red tape involved in shooting your movie here since no permits are required for filming in or around Corona!

Sitting pretty at an elevation of 6700 ft, Corona was established as a railroad stop in 1903. While the population today is about 167 people, the Village of Corona serves an expansive ranching community and school district of 2000+ sq. miles.  Pleasant daytime temperatures range from the mid 40’s in the winter to summertime highs in the 80‘s. The train no longer stops in Corona but it does pass through several times a day.
